The US Republican party brought America and the rest of the world so close to the brink of Financial Armageddon, people everywhere are breathing a collective sigh of relief. In a last minute deal between the Senate Democrats and Republicans the financial meltdown was averted.
Details of the deal weren’t fully disclosed yet. But there is no doubt the main sticking point was the socalled Obamacare legislation. Republicans have been fighting all out assault on the President’s signature accomplishment since it became law.
President Obama for his part cautiously praised the progress but called for more solidarity on matters affecting the giant US economy.
