In a strange but unbelievably true turn of events, the 85 year old author of the Exorcist is suing Georgetown University. The lawsuit stems from the fact the school has invited America’s Health secretary and democrat, Kathleen Sebelius to speak at graduation.
William Peter Blatty attended Georgetown some 60 years ago and according to him the school has broken a rule set forth by the late Pope John Paul 2nd. John Paul had decreed that church and universities that are catholic affiliated, should abstain from abortion issues.
Blatty is incensed that Kathleen Sebelius will speak at his old alma mater given the fact that she’s supported President Obama’s health care act. A portion of the act includes a mandate for some religious institutions to offer insurance to cover employees’ birth-control costs.
